This is a excellent video showing some tips for comedy in film. The main argument is that comedies are not living up to their full potential because they do not fully utilize the medium. These are some specific examples about camera work and staging and its use to enhance comedy.

Pixar are the kings of story. They have an amazing track record for success even with their weaker works like Cars 2. When Pixar speaks of storytelling, its worth listening not only because the information is sound and practiced, but it will also be told well.
This is an old talk but I had not seen it before. In this talk, John Cleese gives some information on creativity. It is not instruction on how to be creative, but it sets a framework on how to maximize creativity and discusses ways in which creativity is blocked. This is a worthy lecture and I will have to try some of these techniques myself.
